Infectious diseases, also known as communicable diseases, contagious diseases or transmissible diseases comprise clinically evident illness (i.e., characteristic medical signs and/or symptoms of disease) resulting from the infection, presence and growth of pathogenic biological agents in an individual host organism.

Clinical microbiology is based on the culture of biological samples in a medium enabling any bacteria present to multiply. It is an essential technology for the identification of many microorganisms and their susceptibility to the antibiotics tested. Clinical microbiology must respond to major public health challenges such as the development of bacterial resistance and the appearance of new pathogens.

Mycoplasma is the cause of Nongonococcal Urethritis (NGU), cervical, pelvic inflammatory disease, orchitis, epididymitis, and other disorders of the main pathogens. It may cause infertility to men and women. These pathogens can attack and destroy genitourinary epithelial cells, causing infectivity of AIDS and other sexually transmitted disease. Clinical sexually transmitted diseases can be caused by Mycoplasma, including the main UU and MH. Its incidence has been on the rise along with antibiotic resistance that has become a serious harm to human health. Timely and accurate diagnosis is the key to treatment and prevention of the Mycoplasma spread. This Autobio kit is used for culture isolation, identification, enumeration of Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU) and Mycoplasma hominis (MH) and clinical susceptibility of 12 commonly used antibiotics.

Product Overview
Blood Culture testing is performed in the Microbiology laboratory. Blood is drawn from the person once or twice to find and detect infections that are spreading through the bloodstream, such as Bacteremia, Infective Endocarditis and Septicemia. It is of great importance in diagnosing conditions such as Endocarditis, Typhoid Fever, Pneumonia and other diseases characterized by Bacteremia. To evaluate a patient for sepsis, two to three sets of Anaerobic/Bi-state blood cultures should be submitted.

Amsel method is the golden standard in BV diagnosis. However, this method requires complicated operations and it is also highly subjective.
